The town of Kailua is set on the eastern (windward) coast of Oahu. Our library serves the town and surrounding communities with a wonderful staff who manages the many books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs the library has to offer.
The Friends of Kailua Library is a non-profit organization that was established in 1989 to help enrich literacy and learning. We operate the Kailua Library Bookstore, which is fully staffed by volunteers. Through membership dues, donations, and book sales, the Friends of Kailua Library raise funds for special projects and programs. We are an affiliate of the statewide Friends of the Library of Hawai’i.
